M3: Social Accounting Matrices and Estimation Part 3
This module focus on the progressive disaggregation of the accounts in a macro-SAM to generate micro-SAMs. The approach advocated is to start small and successively disaggregate the accounts and then for each stage of the process to estimate a complete and consistent SAM that can be further evaluated using a model. As you develop your skills it will practical to handle larger SAMs.
My error when starting was to build THE master SAM. It took longer than it should/would have done and took advantage of my co-workers.
This module assumes you have access the MS Excel and subsequent modules will use GAMS with GAMS Studio as the editor.
